Fred Claus
Fred Claus(Vince Vaughn) is hurting for money and has a bitter attitude towards life. When a his latest attempt at making some quick cash lands him in jail, Fred calls on his brother Nick "Santa" Claus(Paul Giamatti) to bail him out. When he then asks for a loan to start up his next business idea, Nick asks Fred to come to the north pole for a few weeks and work for the money. Fred agrees and finds himself working with Santa's elves. Kevin Spacey also stars as Clyde Northcut, an auditor, who comes to the North Pole to look over Santa's operation and threatens to shut him down when Fred causes problems. This film also stars Rachel Weisz, John Michael Higgins, Elizabeth Banks, Ludacirs, and Kathy Bates. This film has a sweet sense to it, but doesn't quite deliver. Vaughn does what he can to carry the film, but his comedic style can only go so far. The added on plot with Spacey's character didn't help either. Spacey is a great actor, but even his talents were not able to make that plot work. Still the film does have alot of heart and fun ending. If only I laughed a few more times along the way.
