Ben Affleck is an accomplish actor and now takes his first attempt at directing. He doesn't disappoint. In fact his film is a long way from being disappointing. It stars Affleck's brother Casey Affleck as Patrick Kenzie, a private detective who is hired along with his girlfriend Angie Gennaro(Michelle Monohan), to investigate a girls kidnapping. When he gets in deep to the case, his personal life and professional life both become in chaos. This film also stars Ed Harris, Amy Ryan, Amy Madigan, John Ashton, Titus Welliver, and Morgan Freeman. The acting in this film is great. Affleck, Harris, and Ryan all turn in wonderful performances. I liked big twist at the end that I didn't see coming at all and really enjoyed the film throughout. My only problem was that the film seemed to concluding about half way through and it caused me to feel like I was seeing one film and the sequel. Other then that this is a great piece of work. |
