Mike Myers renews his Austin Powers roles in the new movie Goldmember. In this latest installment, Dr. Evil (Myers) has come up with a new plan to take over the world. To complete his plan he gets the help of a 70's villian named Goldmember (Myers). Dr. Evil also kidnaps Austin Powers father, Nigel Powers (Michael Caine). It's then all up to Austin Powers to save the day and get back his father. Beyonce Knowles also stars. This film is has many laughs, expecially the first five minutes. It may be the best opening sequence of all-time next to Black and White. This film does have some tiresome jokes that we here from previous films and doesn't really have much of a plot. It doesn't matter though. The film wasn't made to win any awards. It was made to entertain us and make us laugh. It succeeds in doing it. |
