Robert De Niro stars as David Calloway, a psychologist, who just can't seem to figure out what is wrong with this daughter. Recently, Calloway's wife died and he and his daughter Emily(Dakota Fanning), have moved into a new home where she immediately makes a new friend name Charlie. The problem with this is that David has not met Charlie and whenever he tries to, he somehow makes his disapperance quick. This film aso stars Elisabeth Shue, Famke Janssen, Amy Irving, Dylan Baker, Robert John Burke, and Melissa Leo. The problem with this film as that it borrows everything from other films. Even its main big secret is a let down simply because we have seen it before. I also must mention the ending which simply goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. I wanted to leave the theater, but kept being dragged back in. Only props for this film go to the performances of Dakota Fanning and Famke Janssen. |
