I knew when I saw the ending to the first film, that this sequel was inevitble. The first film was an embarrasement. Why make a second? Why? I don't get it. This film stars Micheal Mcmillian and Jessica Stroup as two National Guard trainees who are part of a group assignment to bring in a machine to the hills of a New Mexico desert where strange mutunts supposedly live. The machine is being used by the military to surveillance the area. When the trainees get there, they notice the military camp is deserted and so sign of any life. The search is then on for the missing soldiers from the camp. This film also stars Jacob Vargas, Lee Thompson Young, and Daniella Alonso. This film basically has bad acting, bad direction, terrible dialogue, pointless gore, and pointless action. The characters make every mistake possible. One guy gets hit in the back by a mutant and then for no reason shoots his Sargeant. Just like the first movie, we again have a mutant who acts as an ally to the humans for some reason which again we aren't explained. I could keep going, but I would be wasting more time on a movie that is a waste of time to begin with. |
