I must first begin this review with and apology. Last week I said the best way to see this film was with a Big Kahuna burger and a tasty beverage(preferebly Sprite). My guess is that if you did that you probably wouldn't be able to keep it down while watching this lastest work by Quentin Tatarantino. The film has perphaps the most simple plot any film could have. Uma Thurman stars as BLEEP, a former assasin who's boss and co-workers turn on her during her wedding and kill all the guests and leaving her for dead after being shot in the head. She wakes up four years later from a como swearing revenge. The film also stars Lucy Lu, Daryl Hannah, Vivica A. Fox, Michael Madsen, and David Carradine. This film is genius. Tatarantino uses combinations of black & white, animation, and other interesting tricks that make this film so enjoyable. The action sequences are well done and the gore scenes are done so remarkable we actually kind of find them funny. I also must give kudos to Uma Thurman who is outstanding. This is one outstanding piece of work and the best part is we get to do it all over again in February. |
