After completing the Lord of the Rings trilogy, one had to wonder if there was anyway director Peter Jackson could ever top that series. His new film tops them all. King Kong is a second remake of the 1933 classic. It stars Jack Black as Carl Denham, a film director how takes a cast and crew on a journey to Skull island to create his next movie. While there they encounter a giant ape named by the islanders, Kong. This film also stars Adrian Brody and Naomi Watts. The special effects in this film are what makes this movie what it is. They are simply outstanding. The fight seen between King Kong and a T-Rex is great. Naomi Watts also diserves some an Oscar nomination for her role in the film. This is the most fun film of the year. |
