"Hey, Wha' happened?" That is quote is one of many funny lines said in this new comedy by director Christopher Guest. Guest has a nack for making mockumentaries, in other words fictional comedy documentaries. His latest attempt brings back the entire cast from another of Guest's mockumentaries called, "Best in Show." That clever movie brought groups of different characters to a dog show. In this latest film folk music promoter Irving Steinbloom has passed away and his son Jonathan(Bob Balaban) has decided to put together a concert with three of his famous acts in his memory. The beginning of this film is non-stop laughs. The films main problem is that the film goes into lapases of very few laughs before it brings some back later. This isn't Guest's greatest attempt, but it still good for a laugh. |
