This Mel Gibson produced film stars Cole Hauser as Bo Laramie, one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood. Bo has a loving wife Abby(Robin Tunney) and a son Zach(Blake Michael Bryan). Bo has one problem though, his family is continously being stalked and photographed by a Rex Harper(Tom Seizmore). When Rex and the rest of his photograpy gang, cause a car accident that injures Bo's wife Abby and has his son Zack in a coma, Rex is out for revenge. Dennis Farina, Daniel Baldwin, and Tom Hollanger also star. This is probably a film that many actors and actesses dream about. That's probably why there a so many cameos in this film.....Mel Gibson, Chris Rock, and Vince Vaughn to name a few. It is quoted that "Revenge is a dish best served cold." That pretty much somes up this film. It is very cold. Hauser is not a high profile actor by any means and apparently the best actor they could come up with after George Clooney, Vince Vaughn, Tom Cruise, and Kurt Russell declined. Hauser does the best he can with the script, but ends up coming and looking more like the villain the hero. I was more scared off him then the paparazzi. What is even ridicuous is that the villians were actually be coming extremly afraid of him. The film also lacks common sense. For instance, it takes the police weeks before realising there is a camera at the scene of the crime. Wouldn't somebody notice that? Expecially when it is a camera used to catch people speeding. Besides a few chuckles, this film is simply not good. |
