The Farrelly brothers are well-known for gross-out comedies. Here for the first time they attempt a comedy on a more melo level and they have just as much success. The film stars Drew Barrymore as Lindsey Meeks, a big time executive who falls in love with school teacher Ben Wrightman(Jimmy Fallon). However, when springtime rolls around for the first time during there relationship, Lindsey learns of Ben's biggest obsession, the Boston Red Sox. I have said it once. I have said it twice. I will say it again. Baseball movies rules! I don't know why that is. They just do. That however, isn't the only reason this movie works so well. Barrymore and Fallon are perfectly cast for this role. If there is one big problem with this film it is that it's about the Boston Red Sox. Maybe after the Minnesota Twins win it all this year we will get a movie about them next year. |
