This movie stars Radha Mitchell as Rose DaSilva, the mother of Sharon(Jodelle Ferland), who suffers from restless sleepwalking episodes and utters the place Silent Hill. Instead of taking her daughter to a doctor for her problem, Rose decides the best choice is to take her to the ghost town of Silent Hill. However, when a cop tries to pull them over and the speed off 100 miles per hour, they manage to get into a car accident. When Rose comes to, she realizes that Sharon is gone and sets out on a horrific search for her. This film also stars Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, and Deborah Kara Unger. As you can probably guess from my summary I didn't like this film. A couple of reasons are mentioned in the above, but there are others. The entire plot is dumb and the big suprise at the end is makes you wonder why you wasted your whole time watching the film. The only thing I liked in this film was the police played by Holden. However, not even she could make this film respectable. |
