The Terminal
What is so wonderful about Tom Hanks as an actor is that he can give one of his more poorer performances in The Ladykillers earlier in the year and then turn around and give one of his best performances in this new film. Hanks stars as Viktor Navorski, an immigrant whose country breaks out in war and for a period of time doesn't exist,   causing his passport to void and leaving him stranded at JFK airport terminal. Stanley Tucci and Catherine Zeta-Jones. What makes this movie work is Tom Hanks. He plays a Russian character and has the accent down so well that you actually will believe he is Russian. I also must give kudos to the set designers. If I wasn't informed before hand that the entire airport was a set, I would have easliy believe it was real. Steven Speilberg has once again directed himself a winner.
