Let me start by saying The Grudge is a very scary movie. Really, it is. Don't laugh. It's true. It is very scary. Very scary that a film like this could ever be made. This mess stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as a exchange student in Tokyo, Japan, that fills in as a nurse for a old lady and soon finds out that the old lady's house has a supernatural curse on it. This film also stars Jason Behr, Bill Pullman, and Ted Raimi. A person I know once told me that horror movies all suck because they should be over in 30 seconds. Sadly, in the case over this film, that could be true. This film could have been done in 30 seconds. All it does is take a bunch of people, bring them in to a haunted house, and kill them all for no reason whatsoever. The plot to this film makes little sense and is downright ridicoulous. Because one person died in a powerful rage, a bunch of innocent people must die. Can someone explain that to me? Then there is the ending to the film which makes no sense. I have no clue how one of the characters survives at the end. Not to mention they set the film up for a sequel where apparently more people will for no reason be brought into the same house and killed for no reason. If you haven't guessed it yet, I really did not like this film. |
