Adam Sandler stars in this remake as Paul Crewe, a former NFL football player who was kicked out of the league for cheating. After a drunk driving stint, Crewe is sent to prison. There he meets Warden Hazen(James Cromwell) who has a football team of guards that he enters in a prison football league. He asks Crewe for some pointers and Crewe suggests playing a practice game. Hazen then tells Crewe to assemble a football team of inmates to face the guard team. This film also stars Chris Rock, Michael Irvin, and Nelly. This movie has a weak plot, but it doesn't matter. The actors in this film create enough laughs to overcome the plot and make it worth seeing. |
