The Night Listener
Robin Williams stars as Gabriel Noon, a radio show host who begins speaking to his biggest fan Pete Logan(Rory Culkin), on the telephone. However, when he starts taking to Logan's mother Donna(Toni Collete), he realizes there voices sound quite similar and begins to question whether or not Pete really exists. This film also stars Sandra Oh. Collete is very good in this film as the mysterious mother, yet it quite cannot over come the plot. For instance, why does Gabriel really care if Pete exists or not. Many celebrities get letters from fans. I don't particularly remember them giving house calls to each one them. If that is the case I might as well send a fan letter Scarlett Johanssan all other hottie actresses. Yes, the myseriousness of the film is somewhat interesting, but the whole idea just doesn't work.
