Set in the last 21st century, Milla Jovovich stars as Violet, a women who is one of many humans who have contracted a vampire-like disease. She and her counterparts are set apart from the "normal" humans and are aimed for distinction. While is civil war is on the verge, Violet encounters a 9-year old boy who is considered a threat by the humans. It's up to Violet to protect the boy and find a cure for her disease before a war takes place. This movie also stars Cameron Bright and Nick Chinlund. This movie could be considered a bad spin-off from the Resident Evil franchise. It even has the same main actress. Anyways, the plot of this film makes little sense. If there is a cure for the humans with the disease, why should the other humans one them distinct. Why not just cure them? This film also has numerous fighting sequences. Each one consists of one female beating up about 20 bad guys. These sequences are so incredibly unrealistic that they become pointless and boring. This will defintely be on my worst 10 films of the year. |
