Would it be so bad to release a film about Wimbledon during the tournament itself in late June? Apparently it is. Anyways, this film stars Paul Bettany as Peter Colt, a washed up tennis player who is playing in his last Wimbledon. He doesn't have much a chance. Then he falls for Lizzie Bradbury(Kirsten Dunst), a rising female tennis star. The two must then balance there new romance while trying to win tennis's most prestigous tournament. The film also stars Sam Neill. This film is filled with many boring moments and a number of cliches borrowed from past films. Yet, I like the romance between the main characters and the tennis scenes were done well. With that in mind, I recommend this movie. |
