In my opinion, the best sports movies are baseball movies. I have never seen a movie about baseball that I have not liked. That is until know. Rob Schneider, David Spade, and John Heder star as there guys who simply had missed oppertunities as kids and try to make up for it by forming a three man baseball team and entering a little league tournment determined to finally stand up four themselves and make up for there past. Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, Craig Kilborn, Nick Swardson, Sean Salisbury, and Molly Sims also star. This film is basically a missed oppertunity. The premise is funny, but the execution isn't there. Over half the jokes are not funny. Many are repeated. For instance, a tittie twister is funny the first time you hear it, however it gets old repeated. Then of course the film adds in fart jokes and booger jokes that simply are never funny and that is when the film falls flat. Despite a few funny moments, this film doesn't offer much. |
