Sylvestor Stallone reprises his role as boxer Rocky Balboa in this new film. Balboa is much retired from boxing now and owns a restaurant. Real-life boxer Antonio Tarver stars as Mason "The Line" Dixon, the current WBF heavyweight champion who wins every match easily by knockout. When a computer generated fight is made between Dixon and Balboa to find out who would win a fight between to different generation boxers, Balboa is asked to come out of retirement and fight Dixon in an exhibition. Dixon expects the fight to be easy, but what he finds out is more then he bargains for. This film also stars Burt Young. This isn't the type of film that is going to win any awards. It wasn't made to get awards. It was made to close the chapter of a long running series of films on a good note and it does just that. This film is fun. Just plain fun. The acting is good. The fight is fun. That's about all you I can say about this film. It's just fun! |
