Clive Owen stars as Dalton Russell, a leader of a team of theives who overtake a bank and hold around 30 people hostage. Denzel Washington stars as Detective Keith Frazier who negotiates with Russell in hope that all the hostages will be let go unharmed. Christopher Plummer, William Dafoe, and Jodie Foster also star in the film. The films begins with a typical robbery and I like the idea to have all the hostages look like the theives. The main problem with this film is the payoff. We find out everything in the last fifteen minutes of the film, but it is nothing exciting. It almost seemed unfinished. The performances are there in this film, but the story is not. |
