Phil Weston(Will Ferrell) has never beaten his competitve father(Robert Duvall) in anything. When his father trades his son to a bad soccer team, Phil decides enlists himself as the coach and decides to set out to finally beat his father in something. Mike Ditka also stars. This is another one of those movies that would normally be bad, but is saved by Will Ferrell. He again stakes a would be cheesy movie and makes it worth something. I also like Ditka's role in the film. This film is easily predictable and recycles a plot used in films, but it has just enough laughs to work. |
