Seabiscuit
Down the stretch they come! As we approach the final stretch if films to the end of the year, we will see a number of films competing to hear their name be called on a certain nomination show come next February. One name that you might hear and should here, maybe more the once, is the new movie Seabiscuit. Seabiscuit is set back in the Great Depression stars Jeff Bridges as Charles Howard, a millionare car salesman who buys a undersized horse and hires an old mustang brooker(Chris Cooper) and a half-blind jockey(Tobey Maguire) to help him win races with it. Soon his horse comes to stardum and the world is swept up in the heart-warming tale. William H. Macy and Elizabeth Banks also star. This film is a treasure. Chris Cooper gives yet another great performance and the rest of the cast does well too. During Bad Boys II I looked at my cell phone many times to see if the film was done. During Seabiscuit I didn't look once. I didn't want it to end. Seabiscuit is a wonderful film.
