The sun is dying from the inside out and it's up to a team of astronaunts to fly a ship to the sun and detonate a specially made bomb which will restore the sun to its natural state. Cliff Curtis, Cillian Murphy, Chipo Chung, Rose Byrne, Chris Evans, and Michelle Yeoh star. This film is disappointing. Here we have what appears to be a good space movie until things start going wrong for the astronaunts. Now I am not saying that nothing is suppose to go wrong. If it went all as planned, we would have nothing but a boring movie. However, the problem is that the film doesn't spend a moment to rest after something goes wrong. It just on to the next problem and the next and the next. It seemed like the film were so obessed with finding ways things go wrong for the astronaunts that they began to run out of good ideas and for some reason decided to turn a good space movie into a ridiculous slasher flick. This film is a prime example of a good film that to a 90 degree turn and took off into a completely wrong direction. |
