She woke up not sure of where she was, but still sensed the bitter aftertaste of whatever they'd used to knock her out. Cassidy sat up to find her ankles and wrists tied. "Fucking shit!"

Garrett stood laughing. "So we meet again, my little pet. Long time no see. You've... changed."

"You're still an egotistical asshole," Cass replied.

"So you're the one fucking Aidan?" He laughed. "My my, but your standards have dropped."

"I'm the one --" Cassidy laughed. "Your cronies are pretty easy to dupe."

"Do you deny having a sexual relationship with Aidan Callahan?"

"No, but I'm not the one they wanted." Cassidy looked him squarely in the eye. "You know something? He's damn good, I enjoyed it."

"Is it him you're dressed up for?"

"This is what we call a disguise, Spencer."

"So I have a scantily dressed woman on my bed, tied down...whatever shall I do with you?"

"Don't fucking think about it, you horny bastard."

Garrett laughed and sat on the bed, one hand running up and down her leg. "It used to be you begged me to fuck you."

"Yeah, I got wise."

"Whatever."

"So am I here because your cronies are morons, or is there some other reason for you to abduct women?"

His hand moved up further. "You're here because my men were told to take the woman Callahan was fucking."

"I'm not the one you wanted. The dark hair got me confused for another agent."

"Lovely."

"Sucks to be you."

"Oh no, I'm more than glad to have you here." He laughed, his hand moving up more.

"You'd better keep me tied down or I'll rip your dick off."

"Yeah right.”

Cassidy bit back a look of fear and disgust.

"So...now that I have you, I don't think I'll want to just get rid of you."

"Wish you would."

"Hmmm...so who is it we mistook you for?" He asked, his lips dropping to gently kiss her thigh.

Cassidy froze, finding that the fear overtook her and failed to let her speak.

"Talk to me Cassidy."

She opened her mouth, hoping for a simple 'Fuck you, Spencer,' but not a sound came out.

He kissed her thigh again and then ran his finger over the bandage there. "Here's were we removed your tracer."

She was still silent from the fear. Raw fear, like she hadn't experienced, for Cassidy wasn't afraid to die. Being taken advantage of, then, must be the thing she feared most.

"Cassidy relax, I wouldn't take you against your will."

"Don't touch me," she finally managed.

"Then answer my question."

"You should know, or your intel's good for shit," she said.

"I wasn't in charge of that part, my counterpart was."

"And you know everything anyway. You don't trust people any more than I do."

"So, how close are he and this Calliope girl?"

"How should I know?"

"Because you do."

"I really don't."

"Yes. You do."

"I just told you I don't!" Cass snapped.

"Tell me what you do know."

"I'm not telling you shit."

"Then you can stay tied here."

"Fine."

Garrett left the room.

"Shit, how'd we *lose* an agent?" Aidan sighed.

Cal was still lying unconscious. "I really don't know sir." Krit answered. "They were getting ready, and we all got hit by the explosion."

Aidan sighed. "Damnit." He went back to cleaning the blood from Cal's face.

"Is she okay?"

"I think so. She better be."

Krit noted the tone of voice he used but said nothing. "I'm sure she will be."

Aidan simply kept cleaning her up. "I bet you're not wild about Cassidy dressed as a hooker in the presence of Garrett Spencer," he said by way of conversation.

"Of course I'm not."

"He's got a reputation for... well, hope she's okay."

"I do too. But we'll find her, right?"

"Yeah. In fact, you can get started. You know every agent's got a tracer, try to find her. I'll give you my code if you need it."

"I'll let you know what I find." Krit nodded, seeing that Cal was starting to wake up. He left the room.

"You okay?" Aidan asked.

She blinked a few times. "Where's Cass?" She whispered.

"She's been abducted. Orders are for us to pull out as soon as we can."

"I fell...I didn't mean to let her...I'm so sorry Aidan..."

"Don't. Don't be. We'll find her, Krit's already on it."

"My head hurts..."

"I'm glad you're alright." Aidan helped her sit and gave her a painkiller.

Cal laid her head on his shoulder as she took it. "Thank you."

"Welcome."

Krit walked in. "Sir, they must have disconnected her tracer...there's no signal anywhere."

Aidan put an arm around Cal. "Then she's gone?"

"Yeah." Krit nodded slowly, a look of sadness about him.

Garrett returned to Cass's room, holding a tray of food. "Are you hungry?"

Cassidy shrugged, staring at a wall.

"I have food for you, you just have to talk."

"I'm not terribly hungry," Cass said, hoping he'd go away. She'd taken a shower - he'd even been *kind* enough to provide her with a bathroom - and was painfully aware of what she *wasn't* wearing under that robe.

"Cassidy, you can help me and thereby help yourself, or you can die."

"Shoot me and save us both some time."

"No."

She shrugged. "Suit yourself. I'll die slowly."

"That’s my plan."

"You want the blood on your head, fine. You've made me live how I do, you can kill me too."

"I didn't make you do anything."

Cassidy snorted derisively.

"I didn't. You are the one who pried Cassidy."

"Because I didn't have a right, after a year, to know the truth? That's prying to you, is it? And furthermore, seeing as you never gave a fucking shit about me, I'd give up the wronged lover position."

"Tell me about Callahan and this girl."

"They fuck. What do you want from me?"

"Any feelings?"

"How should I know?"

"Because I think you do."

"What, because she's my friend or something? I don't have friends. Personal connections make you weak."

"So you say."

"So I live by."

"Bull."

"A casual fuck's not a connection."

"Then why are you so hell-bent against me?"

"Excuse me?"

"If you didn't make personal connections you wouldn't act like this."

"So just because I don't want you fucking me, you're taking that to mean I make personal connections?"

"No."

"Well let me clarify something for you, alright? You broke me, Spencer. I was eighteen and no one'd ever cared, and you pretended you did. I liked it. But then you taught me that it was a lie, and it broke me. So if you're ever wondering why I can't fucking stand you, there's your reason."

"I never pretended." He stated, setting down the food and leaving.

Cassidy slammed her fist into the door behind him.

"Damn you, Garrett."
