What follows are articles and letters printed in the Lashburn Comet. February 17, 1916 W. A. Vokins is the latest recruit to join the forces in these parts. He visited Lloydminster on Friday last and formally enlisted in the 151st Battalion being organised at that point. W. A. Vokins parents, Mr. & Mrs. Vokins, Romsberry Wilts, England now have six of their seven sons in the naval and military forces. The only recalcitrant of the bunch being the editor of this paper, who being the eldest of the family ought to set the others an example (as he was often told in the parental home.) |
