The Brampton Blazers have advanced to their next single life playoff game against the White Rock Renegades as they handily defeated Calgary 11 - 0. Lindsay Roy gave up one double and retired 15 of 16 batters to record the win. Brampton pounded the Calgary pitching for 12 hits including a double, a home run, and four RBI for Darcy Djakalovic and two hits and two RBI for Cindy Eadie. Jen Hunt contributed two hits including a triple and three RBI, while Tiffany Patteson and Hailey Clark had two hits each.

The Burnaby Oakeys scored three runs in the 6th inning to defeat the Guelph Gators 5 - 2 to claim the Double Life side. The Gators will meet the winner of White Rock and Brampton in the Silver Medal game at 11:00 a. m. on Sunday. Cari Irwin scored Burnaby's first run on Mindi Wylie's 4th inning double. Guelph replied with two runs in the top half of the 5th as Alicia Spitzig and Jen Doede scored on Erin Leveille's single. Erin MacKenzie of Burnaby tied the game at two runs apiece when she scored on Cari Irwin's single. Diana Baruffa's two RBI single was the key hit in a three run 6th inning for the Oakey's which put the game out of reach. Erin Thomas went the distance for Burnaby allowing three hits and three walks in addition to fanning eight Gator batters. Alisia Narodowski and Wylie had two hits each for the winners.

The Brampton Blazers have secured at least a Bronze Medal as they scored a decisive 9 - 2 victory over the White Rock Renegades. The Blazers started quickly with four runs in the 1st inning with Holly Anstett delivering a key two run triple. Lindsay Roy, with a home run in the second and two RBI single in the third, provided Brampton with more than enough insurance. Cambria McKay's home run in the fifth was the final run in five inning mercy game. Lindsay Roy gave up eight hits to register the victory. Ali Caviligia and Kylie Brine had two hits apiece in a losing cause. Brampton will meet Guelph in the Silver Medal Game, Sunday at 11:00 a. m. |
