The Blazers of Brampton started quickly scoring four runs in the 1st inning and another four in the 3rd to coast to a 10 - 2 win over the Guelph Gators. Lindsay Roy scattered eight hits over five innings to record another playoff win. Left fielder, Hailey Clark led the offensive attack with a home run, a double and four RBI. Cindy Eadie with two hits and Marcee Ross with two hits and two RBI also contributed to the Blazer charge. Melissa Finley and Caitlin Warren each had a home run and a single in a losing cause. Katrina Klemp also had two hits for the Gators. Brampton will meet the Burnaby Oakeys at t 1:30 p. m. in the 1st Gold Medal Game. If Brampton wins that game, the second game will be played at 4:00 p. m.

The Brampton Blazers have forced a second and deciding game for the Gold Medal with a come from behind 7 - 4 win over the Burnaby Oakeys. Jen Bartlett relieved Lindsay Roy in the second inning and then went the distance to register the pitching victory. Bartlett gave up four hits and one earned run over 5 1/3 innings. The Oakeys opened the scoring with three runs in the second inning, but the Blazers responded with 4 of their own in the third. The teams traded one run each in the fifth, before salting the victory with two runs in the seventh inning. Catcher Cambria McKay led Brampton's offensive attack with two hits and 4 RBI. In a losing cause, Alisia Narodowski had three hits for Burnaby. The next and final game will be played at 3:45 p. m.

The Burnaby Oakeys have successfully defended their Canadian Title as Midget Girls Champions with a convincing 5 - 2 win over the Blazers of Brampton. The playoff MVP, Erin Thomas, surrendered six hits and fanned eight batters to record the win. Preliminary round batting leader, Shanel Garofalo, had two hits including a key two RBI single in the third inning. Mindi Wylie drove in two runs in the fifth with a double and gave the Oakeys a five run cushion. Blazer's second basewoman, D' Arcy Djakalovic had two hits including a two run double in the seventh inning to break the Oakey shutout. Cindy Eadie and Tiffany Patteson contributed two hits each for Brampton. This is the second consecutive year that these two teams have played in the Championship Final.
