Welcome To Our Poetry Page! |
I decided to add a poetry page because not only do I like poetry and write every now and then, but I know alot of my friends that love to read as well as write poetry, so,, here we are! You won't find any professional poetry on this page but you will find some good poetry. I'm hoping I'll also encourage everyone that visits this page to submit their own poetry to me and I'll add it. Like I said, I'd like to hear from the "average Joe" on the street. All I ask is that their be no crude language and that it be original. I'd also like whoever writes it to identify themselves and give me the county, province or state that they live in. I'd like to give credit where credit is due. I have added an e-mail link on this page that is seperate from my other mail so I can get ONLY poetry submissions. So come on,,, pick up that pen and write! |

To my wife who is my life, I write to you sincerely, I need you now and forever more, I love you true and dearly, When I see you smile and hear you laugh, I know what love is for, And when we are apart like this, I love you even more, Your love for me is my guiding light, that keeps me looking home, Because you are the only reason I do not feel alone, You fill my heart and soul with hope, and you make me feel so whole, The feelings you stir up in me, are now out of control, Soon I'll be home, and in my arms you'll rest, And of all the moments we have shared, this one - it is the best, When I look into your eyes, and I see your love is true, There is nothing in the world, that for you I would not do. |

How Long |
How long have the mountains been standing there? Since the beginning of time my friend and they will keep on standing till the world comes to an end.
How long has the sun been in the sky? Since the universe was born. So it can give you warmth on a beautiful summer 'morn.
How long has the moon been in the sky? It was born the same time as the sun some planets have two or three but we have only one.
How long have the stars been in the sky? For millions and millions of years Now before you ask about the rain that is the Angel's tears.
Why are the Angels crying? They cry for you and me they cry for everything we lose each time we cut a tree. |

Baby Boy |
All the dreams you ever dreamed, about a baby boy, Are so wrapped up in this bundle of blue, who gives you so much joy.
So quickly he will start to grow, and time will fly so fast. Just hold onto his little hand, and make each moment last.
For soon he'll be a little boy, with busy hands and dirty face; Frogs & marbles & puppies in tow, Running from place to place.
Right now he's fresh from Heaven, A gift for you to love. A tiny, sleeping, bundle of blue, Sent from the Father above. |

Snow |
I peeked outside and with a child's delight I squealed, It snowed last night.
The trees were heavy bent with snow, I listened thoughtfully To the winter wind blow.
I could remember many a day just like this, Standing atop a snow mountain with my little friend, Chris.
We would hurry wuth our mittens, hats and boots to be the first to dress, Without the worry of our mess.
Once outside we would run, jump and roll with glee quickly make snow angels, then check to see Is anyone looking at me?
Our snowmen were the biggest and finest there ever was, and we would build them just because!
I thought what happy memories as I turned to walk away, I am 38 years old now, and the child within still wants to play. |
