Amanda Latona, ex-girlfriend of A.J McLean and J-records artist extrordinare drops her first single this month. Amanda's sound is all her own - and it's rockin'! "It's really cool because it's still pop music but it's got r&b beats." she explains to poptalk exclusively. " Everyone will want to dance to it and listen to it, but yeah it's got the rock guitars. It's something very, very different. As soon as we told the producers what we were doing they were like "Oh yeah we wanna do that" So they sent us these rock songs and everyone says my look is very rock so they were sending us rock songs anyway." While the 22 year old loves how her sound has developed, she admitts she wasn't always ready for rockstar status. " I know, i'm a rock star right?" she laughs. "Where did that come from? I was ready to be Shania Twain!" Man, we *like* this woman! |
