My main objective on this ranch is to provide safe, gentle, trail Paso Finos for the general public. I breed and raise my own Pasos. I have two breeding stallions.
This would also be an option for a trainer having their own clientele. Horses of all breeds are welcome.
The person I am looking for is dependable, energetic, lightweight as some of these horses are under 14 H., well-versed in all aspects of horse training, one who believes in ground work before saddle work, is confident and unafraid to take on challenging horses and has the training and calm demeanor to do so. They should have some background with gaited horses.
We are not producing show horses, we are producing pleasure and trail Paso Finos. 100% of my clients are over the age of 40 and desire well-broke trail mounts. Many Paso Finos have been bred and trained for the show ring and have not excelled in show, and need to be retrained for the average populace, and I believe there is a real market in these Pasos.
The person I am looking for should be passionate about these horses.
There may be an option of housing available but that would have to be set up.
I would also expect this person to help with the breeding operation and he/she will receive appropriate instruction to aid in artificial insemination.
