Match Comment: Standish were never going to win this game with only 9 players turning up for the match, we were badly let down by players at the last minute that morning  in true Standish tradition played the game with 9 heroes. Standish went 2 nil down literally within the first 10 minutes of the game. However, after this ; being able to adapt to the lack of number of players slowly took the game to Hindley. 2 nil to Hindley half time.
The second half started a little like the first finished, Standish still taking the game to Hindley and to be honest Standish deserved to keep a clean sheet in this half from all of the endeavour from all 9 Standish players, great saves from Ben Price in goal to great approach play and acute shots on the Hindley goal from the Standish forwards. However, tired legs began to take over during this half  just before full time Hindley scored their 3rd goal. Hindley 3 - Standish 0.
