MONTON 2 BLACKBROOK 9
Once again there was no appointed referee and the game had to be refereed by a club official doing his best.

Blackbook were comfortable winners but were inhibited by 4 influential squad members being less than 100% fit and the small pitch with long grass.
Liam Philpott scored the first of his double hat-trick on 5m  on 16m Gareth Thomas shot wide following a long powerful run.

Monton's first chance came on 20m when Phil Harrison just tipped a good shot over the bar.

On 25m Monton should have scored when played-on by Blackbrook.

On 30m the Monton 'keeper had to be substituted after making a brave save. On 40m an excellent John McGowan pass enabled Liam Philpott to make it 2-0. There was 9 minutes of added time due to injury stoppages and in this period Adam Gilchrist scored the best goal of the match when he put the ball away after a 40 metre dribble. Immediately afterwards Liam Philpott made it 4-0 following a Gareth Thomas pass.
Soon after the interval Liam Philpott scored again and this was followed by Monton's best spell of pressure after 3 Phil Harrison saves.

Monton scored to make it 5-1. From now on Blackbrook's superior fitness showed and Monton's frustration resulted in alot of niggling.

Stupidly some Blackbrook players responded the rest of the match was not pretty.
