Player registration procedure 2004/2005

Players previously registered with the league

All managers of teams previously registered with the league (Season 2003/2004) will be sent a list of their existing registered players. (If this listing is not received by the 10th July please contact me)

Players that wish to re-register for season 2004/2005 should sign against their name. (This signature is mandatory to ensure the players consent is given, signatures will be cross checked against current records)

Managers should delete the name of any player they do not wish to re-register. This completed list should be signed at the bottom, and returned to me as soon as possible together with a current (last 12 months) passport size photo of each player, and the registration/insurance fee of £3.00 per player.

If the photograph is not present the player cannot be registered (See paragraph re player id cards)

There is no need for existing players to provide proof of age.

New players

Players not previously registered with the league, will be required to fill in the official league player registration form (contact me for copies)

New players must provide two passport size photos together with an official document copy (Birth certificate/ Passport etc) to prove their date of birth. Please do not send original documents, as no liability can be accepted by the league, should these go astray.

These forms must be countersigned by the players parent or guardian, and the team manager. When complete please send forms to me as soon as possible together with the players registration/insurance fee of £3.00.

If any part of the registration documentation is missing or incomplete, the registration will be rejected.

Players ID cards.

For season 2004/2005, each manager will be given a credit card sized, laminated id card for each registered player. This card will contain the players name, photo, date of birth and registered team.

These cards should be retained by managers, (Do not give them to the players) as proof of players registration. These cards should be made available for inspection by opposing managers before each game, or league officials upon request.

IMPORTANT

No player will be allowed to participate in a game until the registration process is completed, and a player id card issued.

The league will commence on the 4th of September, any team unable to complete a fixture due to not having enough players registered, will be deemed to be in breach of rule, and fined accordingly.

All photos supplied must be of passport quality and size (no hats, silly faces etc)

I will be on holiday from the 23rd July to the 11th of August. Please therefore contact me before the 23rd if you have any questions or need any additional forms. Registration forms will be accepted, at the league managers meeting on the 16th of August, but cannot be completed at the meeting as id cards will need to be made.

I will try to be as accommodating as I can to ensure a smooth player registration process. I do appreciate the difficulties encountered when registering players, getting documents, photos etc.

The sooner the process starts therefore, the better chance we have of getting the league off to a smooth start.
