Hormones

CHANGES

By the end of the twenty fourth month (March 2003):
(T dose: 200 mg Testosterone Cypionate biweekly)

It has now been two years since I began hormone therapy. Things have not change entirely too much since my last update six months ago. As stated before, I continue to move along slowly, but always making “progress”.

Some notable details are:

My body continues to become more and more muscular. It has been such a slow change that I often don’t realize how much more muscular I am until I try to wear an old shirt. When I began testosterone two years ago, my neck size was 15 inches. My neck size now is 17.5 inches. My pant size hasn’t changed the entire time I’ve been on hormones, however, during that time I’ve gone through three series of shirts and sports coats.

My weight has fluctuated a bit in the past two years, but not more than 10 pounds in either direction. I still carry a little gut, but my job is wearing that off of me quite well. For a man in his mid thirties, I’m in good shape.

I guess the biggest progress I’ve made since my last report is that I now wear a goatee and sideburns. I originally didn’t think I’d like wearing facial hair, but I’ve grown to like it. I sometimes don’t recognize myself in the mirror with the new facial hair additions.

The body hair continues to thicken up. While I’m far from appearing as though I’m wearing a fur vest, hair now covers all of my stomach, chest and , unfortunately, parts of my shoulders. I feel I’m fortunate that my hair is very light in color and texture.

I still occasionally have cramps, but I’m unsure if that is related to the hormones. My check ups with my doctor does not show a problem to be concerned with, though I keep her aware of their presence.

Well, this will be my final report. I hope this has helped those first starting off on the testosterone journey. I think the effects are different for everyone, but there is something to learn from everyone’s experiences.
