Games/Puzzles
Students work on their problem solving, critical thinking,
as well as their social and small-motor skills at the “Games/Puzzles
Center.” They also work on their
spelling and math skills as well.
Students have to either spell a spelling word of correctly answer a math fact in order to take their turn. There can be a variety of games at the
center. They should be changed
frequently to avoid boredom. The puzzles
will help to develop their small-motor skills as students have to figure out where
each piece goes and how they relate to each other.
Teachers need to model how to:
·
Use and store materials
·
Make own puzzles and games
·
Read and write directions to a game
