Have you ever read "Who moved my cheese"?
It's a story about change. I read it 2 yaers ago. But at that time it didn't affect me very much. However since 3 days ago, when I entered KMLA, I have found that life at KMLA is a lot different from my ordinary life before. There was a big change!! Then I remembered the book, 'Who moved my cheese'. So I followed Scurry(who scurries into change) to adjust to the change.
Now, 3 days after I entered KMLA, I study like Scurry, live like Scurry. I would really recommend this book 'who moved my cheese'. The story and sayings are very useful when you confront CHANGE.
Matrix ... is one of the most exciting movie I have ever watched. It's good for getting rid of stress. ShiRi is a movie made in Korea. This movie deals with the opposition, trouble between South and North Korea. There arises also an element of conflict between romantic love and love of one's country. I really want to recommend this movie, but it's in Korean so I think you may not understand every turn of a phrase in the story.
If One Billion Dollars were my anual income ... I would invest all of it to make more money. In order to make more money, I would employ Bill Gates as he is a genius in investments.
Since I'm a student, I would invite Einstein into my cabinet to teach me about science, especially about the "Theory of Relativety."
Finally, I would employ superman types to be my body guard and to protect the money.
With 1 Billion dollars, I would start a project making rockets that fly at the speed of light. According to the theory of relativety if the rocket moves with speed of light, time becomes faster to people in the rocket and who in rocket can go into the future or the past. Then I could sell new products from present to past and bring new goods from future to present. Through these sales, I could earn more money so that I could start new projects that are helpful for all humanity. Also we could find many unsolved historical and scientific problems by going to past or future. Furthremore, we could prevent disaters in near future. For example, we can forsee a big war like World War 3 or forsee some disease like AIDS.
An Aside, A Vision
While listening to magic; music like magic, ("Moroccan Nights" by the '70's Afro-Rock Band, "Mandrill") some imaginary places and characters appeared in the magic. Now I'm going to tell you about what I saw.
One big guy enters a bar asking for some adventurers who might wants to cross the sea with him by ship. After long negotiations, a group of people board the ship and the ship sets sail. With the repetition of a bright melody, the ship sails through the sea far far away. After daytime, there comes night. Rain drops. Endless rain. Nobody could go out of the cabin. Cabin-like jail, Jail-like cabin. Nothing to do but listening to the rain drops.
Everyone longs to play poker. Then, their hopes make every droplets of rain change into cards. Fifty-four cards per each set. "Fifty five!? We don't need Jockers!" The Jockers then turn back to droplets. The Jockers cry about their uselessness. Their teardrops are the returning raindrops. However passengers don't care about sadness of Jocker. Why don't we care about the sadness of the jockers? Passengers just play poker.
The tediousness of the moment disappears.(I'm glad we got beyond the tediousness.) Bursting into laughter. Full of joy, pleasure, happiness. The ship goes on and on, as does life. The sea is also a life. It's a life for the ship to cruise upon. The sea of life. We are crossing the sea of life...
Where are we going across that sea? What's our final destination?...
I gazed upon the scene into which he took me, as the most messy and dismal place I had ever seen. I see it now. Half of the tables and chairs was turned over and a few were broken. The floor was covered with dust. Three years ago, when I studied here it was chining white. However, now I can't even tell if it is a floor or not. (Is this really the classroom I studied in 3 years ago?) I took one step forward and another. Though it was daytime, the schoolroom was filled with darkness. 'That evil curtain!' Evil stuff that blocks the bright sunshine! I opened the curtains at once. 'Wow! What was that?'
How in the world could the sun be so wonderful!! Light goes though every dark place and gave them colors. 'Yes this was the classroom I had studied in. Now, I'm sure! I can feel it now!' Among the mess, there were many books surrounded by dust. I found some books without dust. It seems to be read by children around here. I also found some scribblings on the wall. Yes! This is youngsters passion in studying! Their love of studying! I can bring this classroom back to life! I can teach children what I know, as my teachers did! It depends on me. Not on politicians who know nothing! We have a future! We have youngsters and our descendants who have a future! Education... the only way. Being an educator, I'll do my best to give youngsters and my country a bright future. For that, let's clean up the room first.
