Give Thanks
Here we sit around a table.
Each of us with our own story
of how we arrived
at our present place in destiny.
We are here in times' place
Yet, we think to hurry it along.
Instead, we should stop and meditate
On the joys, each of us has to celebrate.
Each joy different in it s composition yet
Of equal importance because it has been
given through God's grace.
So many times they are brushed
aside and go unnoticed.
So, we should make a change
and bring them to our table of Thanksgiving.
Giving thanks for all the small things
that really touches our hearts.
For the love of family for it is in time of need
that we bond closer together.
For all the second chances
we get at starting over
For the times that we have to sit and be still
And let life take its course:
For it is in these times,
that God's gifts gracious us with presence.
A gift that might not have been found
if life weren't still.
For grace of God, which sustains us.
