Misty came into our lives on Feb. 27, 2000. My husband had always wanted a Border Collie, so when we lost our German Shepherd and Irish Wolfhound in a boarding kennel fire we started researching different breeds. We narrowed it down to a Border Collie or an Australian Shepherd. I have been active in conformation with Irish Wolfhound and wanted to get into obedience and agility as well as conformation. The Border Collie, being such a versatile breed, was the logical choice. We contacted Mark and Amy Hansen about a litter that was born in January. There was only one pup left. After looking at her face, I couldn't resist. Misty lacks the classic blaze but she has a ring of white around her muzzle that looks like she got it stuck in a milk jug. Her markings are beautiful and I hope they will catch the judges eye. She is a clean mover and has enough attitude to hold the judges attention. (At least I hope so.)
Misty has also shown an intrest in herding. Well at least she tries to herd the cat. Hey, it's a start! Thank you Mark & Amy for this sweet, sassy little girl that has taken over our lives, our hearts, our couch, our chair, our garden.......

It's my bed mom, tell him to get off. Oh, if they were always this good!
