GUN CONTROL:
The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

FEDS SHOULD FIX GUN PROBLEMS
Justice Minister Chris Axworthy says thousands of law-abiding gun owners in Saskatchewan (Hey! Chris don't forget the rest of the country) will risk becoming criminals at the end of June unless the federal government acts. "I urge the federal government to either extend the deadline, or scrap this expensive and cumbersome licencing process," Axworthy said.  "Otherwise, thousands of innocent hunters, farmers and sport-shooters risk breaking the law simply because of government red-tape." (The embarassment of repealing this "phenominal Success" now, would mean the Liberals are admitting they were wrong... It's MUCH better to have a Million new criminals on the books.  So, Don't hold your breath waiting for 'them' to do the right thing)Got A Comment On This Story?

Shooting crows just part of the job for mayor
Murray Rinn, the Mayor of Carman, Man., has hunted the birds on several consecutive Sunday mornings after town council was petitioned to cull the crows. The town passed a by-law allowing the Mayor and two other designated people to discharge guns within town limits. He and the deputized hunters have shot about 50 crows so far. Mr. Rinn bagged nine of the birds last weekend. (Very much like 'CRTC Censors' these folks are immune to the possibility of inflicting personal injury on themselves, or others by discharging firearms in a built up area. Wow..50 crows so far...I can hear the rest of those incredibly canny birds laughing their ass off at the three dumb 'hunters'(?) These folks  have sanctioned their own private 'in-town' hunting  preserve because as politicians, and 'friends' of politicians, they are deemed safer and more intelligent than the 'average' hunter' and therefore, much less likely to do something stupid than you or I.)Got A Comment On This Story?

Winnipeg gang war feared Three shot in a week
Ten people have been gunned down in suspected gang-related shootings in Winnipeg in the seven months since the Hells Angels officially moved into the city. Manitoba is believed to be the last Canadian province to fall under the sway of the outlaw biker gang.(And of course, Liberal thinking would dictate that by taking YOUR gun away, your neighbourhood  will be safer. When the biker gangs move in, drug problems escalate, home break in.'s increase and the chance of YOU or your family becoming another statistic increase dramatically. Remember, you can take your firearm out of storage ANYTIME you wish, even to 'admire it' on your night table.Got A Comment On This Story?

300,000 have yet to license their guns. As of Canada Day, they're lawbreakers
Mr. Austin refused to say how many firearms ownership licences have been issued since the law was passed. The firearms centre will only say that two  million gun owners are now in compliance, including still-valid firearms
acquisition certificates that were issued under the old system. (At ONE time they used to Brag about how many licences they have issued. Now, its getting rather embarrassing for them, so it easier to just refuse to say. The REAL number of gun owners in Canada has been 'conservatively' put at 7 million. But the government still insists on using its 'God make us look good' figures so the dumber folks think this junk law is actually making a difference. When in fact, its just 'sucking up your tax dollars' with no end in sight.)Got A Comment On This Story?

Gun law must go; We say: Stop the bribery; repeal the gunlaw
The federal government, having already tried bullying and coercion to get Canadians to support its ill-conceived
gun control legislation, this week resorted to bribery.  Justice Minister Anne McLellan persuaded the cabinet to
act on her "urgent" request and amend the gun control law's regulations to permit an 18-month extension to the
$25 transfer fee. (Out of touch Liberals think that by simply eliminating the $25.00 transfer fee, everything will be just fine, and everyone will suddenly realize what a brilliant piece of legislation this whole fiasco is..HA Ha Ha Ha Ha ..)Got A Comment On This Story?

ALL FIRED UP; OVERLOADED SYSTEM HAS LEFT GUN OWNERS WITHOUT PALS
Many hunters are in a bind. The end-of-June extension for firearms owners to have a valid licence in hand is
drawing near, and some people who applied for a federal Possession Only Licence last year still haven't been
issued a new licence.  As well, about 200,000 older Firearms Acquisition Certificates are expiring at the rate of
1,000 per week,  Meanwhile, if you're waiting for your licence, CFO office operations manager Bruce McCullagh recommends storing your guns with a licensed friend until it arrives. (What an unmitigated, absolute load of Liberal BULLSHIT..The PAL your waiting for will be expired before you get it.  The arrogant bastards have screwed this up so badly, YOU are going to be punished for their incompetence. Under ONE Party Rule by the Liberals,
Canadians find themselves 30% poorer than their southern neighbours
United Nations' ranking of Canada as the best place in the world to live, forgetting that the UN is perhaps the most bloated, inefficient,  woolly-headed organization known to man, and its opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. Changes must be made:Among other policy planks, we suggest scrapping the expensive and worthless gun registry, ending immigration quotas, overhauling human rights tribunals to return them to their original purpose, and junking, belatedly, the theory of pay equity . (Given a Blank Cheque Book, ANY Liberal party that has EVER been elected, has run off on a spending spree, casting taxpayer dollars toward every harebrained scheme they can think of (C-68) and if they can't think of any right away, they hire the 'old boy network' cronies to help them find MORE ways to waste your money. More delays in firearm regulations
OTTAWA - The federal government announced more delays yesterday in implementing its
much-promoted and equally maligned firearms regulations. An amnesty for prohibited handguns and unregistered restricted guns has been extended to  Dec. 31, and a $25 firearms transfer fee has been waived until the end of 2002. Wally Butts of the National Firearms Association said the latest extensions highlight the serious flaws in the government's gun laws. One-party rule isn't an option
Canada is not flourishing. Our standard of living has slipped 30%  behind that of the United States, our dollar is worth 65 U.S. cents, we are woefully short of capital and skilled workers, our post-secondary enrolment is slipping, and we're spending billions on useless job creation programs and "nation building" schemes. We're about to drift for two years without a federal budget. Our governing party won't admit that our health care

One-party rule has given us a government that refuses to be accountable to Parliament, bullies the Information Commissioner, refuses to appoint an effective ethics counsellor, and can intimidate much of the media through regulatory agencies.( Not to mention a HUGE, Flourishing, Underground Economy!! The Liberals may have dispensed with the discredited Conservative practice of lowballing spending and high-balling revenues, the better to make deficits disappear in the future, even if they never did so in the present. But in its place they have come up with a dazzling array of fiscal tricks, none of them designed for the
public's enlightenment. In addition to simply reversing the polarity on the Tory roseglass-o-meter, so chronically overestimating deficits rather than underestimating them, the current Finance Minister will be remembered for his amazing powers of time travel, announcing  new programs worth billions of dollars to be spent in fiscal years already past, and retrieving  billions more from future years to spend them in the present.(It the words of the famous Moose... WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police violate the Constitution if they use a heat-sensing device to peer inside a home without a search warrant, the Supreme Court ruled Monday.  During arguments at the Supreme Court in February, Kyllo's lawyer  told the justices that people should feel free to let down their guard at  home without fear of the government unreasonably looking over their shoulder. (The Shape of Things to Come:What's THAT!! A cold area shaped like a shotgun spotted hidden, inside a wall? Looks like another vane attempt to keep a family heirloom from being destroyed by the C.F.C. and the Liberal Party Social Re-Engineering Agenda.)Got A Comment On This Story?

School massacre victims buried
The funeral came as authorities were grappling with the implications of  last week's shocking attack, the worst mass-killing since a doomsday cult killed 12 people in a nerve gas attack on the Tokyo subways in 1995. (The insane do not need firearms to create mayhem. Armed citizens 'prevent' crime and injury more often that inflicting it. You just don't hear about it because it may prompt others to defend themselves rather than become victims)Got A Comment On This Story?

Unarmed and under attack in Australia? Dialling '000' Won't help
The daughter of a country shopkeeper who was being bashed by timber-wielding robbers was told last week by a 000 police operator to bring her father to the phone to verify the incident before officers would be sent.
A 70-year-old grandmother was tied to a bed in her home. She had been bashed and raped, but was still alive.
The 000 call, dismissed as a hoax, was not passed on to patrolling police and Mrs Joy Golbey Alchin was found dead, purely by chance, 10 days  later. (With the increasing violence in Canada, 911 callers are also finding themselves being ignored or simply dismissed as hoaxes. 6" Kitchen Knife Attack on Japanese school, 8 Children Dead
OSAKA, Japan (AP) -- A man brandishing a knife burst into an elementary school on Friday and slashed nearly two dozen people, killing at least eight children, in Japan's worst mass-killing since a deadly nerve gas attack on Tokyo's subways six years ago. Police said the attacker, identified as Mamoru Takuma, carried a 6-inch kitchen knife. He was arrested at the scene, but was taken to a hospital -- reportedly with self-inflicted injuries. He was turned over to police about an hour later. The attack comes as Japangrapples with a surge in violent crime. The country's strict gun laws mean most of the attacks -- like Friday's -- are committed with knives. (Well, Banning guns has certainly made a difference in Japan hasn't it! Banning and confiscating firearms will never stop crazy people. It just creates more victims by preventing  honest people from defending themselves)Got A Comment On This Story?

PM Won't Separate C-17 to Speed up Child Protection Laws, But Fast Tracks His Trip to the Pork Barrel to Fatten up his Own Pension Far Beyond Recommended Limits.
"No wonder they want to fast-track this bill. No wonder the Prime Minister is smiling and  chuckling more than anyone. This could be the greatest going-away gift that a Prime Minister gave to himself in Canadian political history," ( No Liberal can resist a cash grab, If Trudeau wasn't pushing up daisies, he'd be looking for 'back pay'. Billions wasted in the HRDC, another Billion on C-68 (to date-- more to come..can you just imagine the good this money could have done 'outside' of Liberal hands?) They just don't give up. They wonder why there is a vast underground economy in Canada. The average person has NO chance of getting a 20% raise, let alone a 42% raise. Federation of Canadian Municipalities resolution lobbies federal government cost review of the new registry system developed under Bill C-68.
The FCM Resolution reads: "Be it resolved that the Federation of Canadian Municipalities petition
the federal government to evaluate the costs vs. the intent of Bill C-68 and make public the results of the
enquiry to determine if this is the most cost effective way to preserve the peaceful character of Canadian
society and help the police fight crime and violence". Got A Comment On This Story?

NEW AUDITOR GENERAL ASKED TO PUT BILL C-68 OUT OF ITS MISERY
“The outcomes are already so clear, that any common sense analysis can only conclude that Bill C-68 has been a complete and utter failure and will never succeed no matter how many hundreds of millions the government spends, no matter how many bureaucrats the government employs, and no matter how long you wait to do your audit,” Breitkreuz wrote.  “The longer we wait to do an audit, the more money and human resources will be wasted – money and resources that could be better spent and deployed on real law enforcement and public safety priorities.”  20 Reasons to Audit the Gun Registry Got A Comment On This Story?

TRIGGER HAPPY; FEDS HAVE LITERALLY JUMPED THE GUN ON NATIONAL FIREARMS REGISTRY
Perhaps the biggest boondoggle Canada is inflicting on itself is gun registration and control. Regardless of
what public opinion is manipulated into believing, Bill C-68 - the law that requires every firearm to be licensed
and registered by Jan. 1, 2003 - will cost maybe 10 times its original estimate; may actually increase rather
than reduce crime and violence; will make criminals out of many otherwise law-abiding citizens.Got A Comment On This Story?

Politicians beating gun control drum
As any student of history knows, gun control figures prominently in the designs of totalitarian states.
These features recur: Centralization of the police force with a vast network of surveillance and informants to spy on
citizens.* National identification cards for all citizens. * Civilian disarmament via gun registration, and licensing, followed by banning and confiscation of firearms. Once this mechanism of oppression is firmly in place, persecution and elimination of
political opponents follow. Then every social, political and economic policy the Total State desires can be implemented. Got A Comment On This Story?

YELLOWKNIFE - After an extensive search that used traps and a helicopter with an infrared scanner, officials found and killed a black bear they hope is the one that killed 18-year-old Kyle Harry on the weekend. The carcass will have to be examined to determine whether it is the animal responsible for the attack. The Grade 11 student was camping on Saturday about 25 kilometres east of the city when he was attacked. A 14-year-old he was with was able to escape. Got A Comment On This Story?

Vets aghast as cadets seek to rename Warriors' Day parades
Veterans are outraged at suggestions the word "warrior" be dropped from their annual  parades at local fairs. They claim it is a denial of history and destroys a critical piece of Canada's military tradition.  Cadet corps and squadrons, however, refused to march at Toronto's Canadian National Exhibition and the Western Fair in London, Ont., this year unless the title was replaced by "Veterans Day."(Lets get something straight here.. For ONE, the 'Cadets' themselves have NO SAY at all in this matter.. They are simply being 'directed' by a bunch of politically correct do-gooders that have no true concept of the military, or it's traditions. If Canada were to go to war tomorrow, and found it necessary to draft recruits, these lilly livered pansy assed chickenshits that have the nerve to call themselves "Cadet Leaders & Officers"  would go into hiding until they were dragged screaming and crying into boot camp and shown which end of the 'non politically corrected' gun you point at the enemy. Fewer voters a sign public happy with PM: Liberal
OTTAWA - Fewer Canadians are casting ballots in federal elections but Michael Marzolini, the Liberal party pollster, says the steady decline in voter turnout is a sign of high public satisfaction with the government of Jean Chrétien. (HA HA Ha Ha HA.. Does 'this' show you how far the Liberals are out of touch.. Their propaganda machine grinds out what it thinks its own party members want to hear. When in fact The ONLY reason there is a lower turnout at any Federal By-election is that the public knows at this time, a single seat from another party well mean "Squat" to the general outcome of things in parliament. Wildlife officers search for bear that killed teen
Bear kills Unarmed Wilderness Camper and escapes wounded,  due to Poorly armed wildlife officers.
Wildlife officers and police found Mr. Harry's body 50 metres from his campsite, with the bear feeding on him. An officer shot at the bear and hit it in the neck, but the animal escaped. "We're assuming the bear doesn't have a major wound because the calibre of the firearm that was used was not a big calibre gun," said Ernie Campbell of the Department of Renewable Resources.Got A Comment On This Story?

United Nations Attack on Gun Ownership
On July 9 to 20, New York City will host the United Nations Conference on Illicit Trade in Small  Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects. The purpose of this conference is to demonize the private ownership of guns and get governments to confiscate all privately owned guns.

Nova Scotia group decries zero tolerance run amok
HALIFAX - Suspending a Grade 2 student for brandishing a breaded chicken finger as if it were a weapon looks like another example of zero tolerance run amok, says a member of the committee that recently authored a new code of conduct for Nova Scotia schools.  Ms. Himmelman said suspending an eight-year-old for playing with his food is too harsh. "To me, this is way beyond the pale," she said. "These kids need to be talked to and explained why it's not nice and why it can be misunderstood (???), and worked with within the school setting.  Suspending them is not the answer."
