An Angel came to me last night
and whispered in my ear.
She said, "Don't look beyond your dreams,
your destiny is near."
She spoke to me in quiet tones
as if the words were air.
She said, "Dear Kate, I tell you this
please do not despair.
A love waits to take your hand
and bind your heart to his.
He'll hold you close to him and then,
he'll bind you with his kiss."
I listened close to every word.
I heard her wings aflutter.
And just before she took to wing,
she spoke to me another.
"Dear Kate, I tell you true, so hear
my words and take to heart.
This love that waits for you dear Kate,
will never leave or part.
He'll stay beside you while you rest,
he'll stay through thick and thin.
He'll take you to the highest peak,
then bring you back again.
He'll open up to only you,
his words you must take heed.
For he is what you're looking for,
yes he is what you need."
