In A.C. 175 the five Gundam Scientists created a marvelous new weapons platform called a Mobile Suit. It was called the Tallgeese. The Romefeller Foundation loved a platform which suggested a human, and bought the Tallgeese immediately. It was great weapon, able to fly incredibly fast thanks to the Super Vernier rockets mounted on it's shoulders. The heavy shell-firing Dobergun was also a nice addition, enableing the Tallgeese to knock out almost any surface installiation with one shell. Unfortunately, no average pilot could fly the Tallgeese without nearly killing himself because of it's extreme speed. The Tallgeese was scaled down a little to a more economic level, which could by piloted by any average solider with proper training. It was simply called 'Leo'. The Tallgeese was stashed away in a hanger at the Corusca Military Base, never to be used again. . .
Twenty years later, after suffering a miserable defeat at the hands of a Gundam, Zechs Marquise has his good friend Lt. Walker do some background research on a suit that could compete with a Gundam, and Walker stumbles upon the rusting, partly dis-assembled Tallgeese. Under the cover of a battle in which Walker is killed at the hands of Quatre and his Sandrock, Zechs slips himself and the Tallgeese out of the Corusca Base before it is destroyed.
Arriving at the Taurus production center in Lake Victoria, Zechs has his subordiante Otto Ricter rebuild the Tallgeese. Zechs' ladyfriend Noin doubts that the twenty year old antique could even fly, much less battle a Gundam, but is completely astonished when Zechs nearly takes over the Alliance base in the Cinq Kingdom singlehandedly after her own Aires troops are pushed back by turreted beam cannons. The Tallgeese is so fast that the turrets can't lock on to it, but Zechs has a heart attack from the incredable speed and is barely able to retreat with his life. Otto decides to take matters into his own hands and commits suicide by ramming the Tallgeese into the HQ of the Cinq Kingom's Alliance facility, destroying the HQ. After alot of intense training, Zechs manages to pilot the Tallgeese without killing himself. He is now ready for his revenge.
Using the new Taurus suits as bait, Zechs draws the Gundams out of hiding, and engages the Wing Gundam in a duel. Zechs appears to have the upper hand, but gets a little careless and the Gundam cuts part of Tallgeese's left arm off. Just then, Treize's faithful underling Lady Une threatens to annihilate the helpless space colonies if the Gundams don't surrnender. The Gundam Zechs is battleing self-detonates. Zechs isn't satisfied with this outcome, and rebuilds the Gundam, a clear viuolation of Oz operating codes in hopes of a second duel. He gets his wish, but is chased off into space by a search party hunting him down before the duel can be finished.
Zechs tries to advocate peace in the colonies, but when no colony delageates listen to him, he returns to his old self, piloting the Tallgeese, only this time he battles Oz instead of the Gundams. He would usually ambush a Virgo carrier convoy, and destroy it, then retreat to some far off colony or resource satellite. In a long protracted battle with Oz Taurus dolls he is utterly overwhelmed and forced to self dtonate his beloved Tallgeese, remarking "Rest in peace, my admirable friend" when the huge explosion destroys the Tallgeese and a quarter of the remaining Tauruses. He then seizes control of the nearby Wing Gundam Zero and slaughters the murders of the Tallgeese.
Treize Khushrenada, leader of the World Nation decides to give out orders from the front during the Eve Wars. Requiring a good suit, be builds a new Tallgeese, just calling it Tallgeese II. Although he is defeated and killed by Wufei in a duel, Treize took quite a few Virgo dolls down with him, giving the new incarnation of the Tallgeese an impressive record despite it's defeat.
