Old Siege of Avalon Images a look at the humble beginnings of one of the best game on the internet!
This is all I could find of this image.  It looks like the Outer baily.  I have this enlagred the most.  If I enlage it any more it will be harder to see.
This image was created and poste on the net in late January.  February 1st at the latest in the year of 2000.  It was about September of that year when the first chapter was released.  Notice the Old Life meater.  Blue was Mana and Brown was your life.  There were also FIVE party slots.  There have been many improvements on the game as you can see.
This one was very cool.  The "Summon Wolf Spell" was suppos to be released in chapter one, but due to the large download size, it was scrapped until chapter five.  If you notice the pic, that wolf is highlighted green
The early screen shot of the Outer Baily.  The spells from left to right are, Aura of Iron and Steel, Shock, fire, the original frost spell (now it is used for the blizzard spell) Heal, Hold, Protect from all, Protect from Ice, Fire, Lightning, Magic, -unknowen-, -unknowen- Shade, Lightning Strike (Armori in chapter five has that spell) Shrapenl, Summon Wolf and Summon Rat.  I will ask DT for the names of all the spell icons at a later date, after the Siege Retail CD is released (I'm sure there probably busy now and alot of major testing is going on now, well I wish them all the best luck.
Every game has a page that has old footage.  Well I am makeing this the first page to have this footage.  These were just sitting in cyberspace collecting cyber dust.  The were actually not fully deleated and have new images in their place.  Well now they have a new permanant  home.  (Yes I am doing what Willy Wonka did for the Oompa Loompas).  May the humble beginnings of Digital Tomb nay be forgotten!
In his hand there appreas to be a spear.  (in the picture on the top right corner)  That was suppos to be a weapon that was to be included in chapter one.  He is in the doorway.  Notice how the two heavy wooden doors are not even there!

  Another weapon that was suppos to be released was the morning star.  I tired to use it (this is back when only chapter one was out) threw hacking the game but when I went into battle mode or clicked on the inventory the game crashed. 

After seeing all these changes in just 4 images you can now realize what was probably going on.  It is hard to believe all the changes in the game that were made from these 4 screen shots.  Like those spell images.  I know what some are from the early versions of the game.  There was a small bug which was quickly removed in chapter 5 which I had lighning strike in my spell list.  It was a really cool spell but fire strike is better in my opinion because the fire lingers longer.  Plus Amori gets to use that spell.  And I heard of a "summon rat spell" in the forum.  That spell icon is on the top row on the right on the image to the left.

When I first played Siege back about a year and twenty days from this update (August 22-2000) I remember doing the Monk herb quest.  And those "Un known Carniverous Creaturs" running around.  Well there was a contest to name them read about it in the E-zine look for "contest winners".  But I accidently found out (the source was removed and couldn't find it to give credit but the name stuck in my head) the original name for the Merscwog is...Crocopods.  That was the name that was given to them but they dicided to hold a contest.  Again anything "old" that I find I shall post here.
