| Jerry Killed himself because he got so upset over the Amount of money the Child Support Enforcement Division was taking 85% of his wages. He tried to get this resolved but he was not able to get any relief thru the Courts. I know the Law says they can take 50% but they took more. Like every money Hungry Government Office Does within the Dominant Society! Jerry leaves behind a Devistated Mother and Step-Father His Daughter whom he loved Dearly, a week before she was going to Dance at the Hart Park Pow Wow in Newhall as Head Girl Dancer is when Jerry took his life. His Mother discovered his body in his own bed in their Santa Clarita Valley Home in California . Jerry was My Friend and I feel like he was Like A Son to Me. He introduced me to This Red Road Walk and I will Always be Grateful to him for That! Jerry in his teen years in High School brought to the attention of the Hart High School the fact that they were being racist because they were using Indian Names for their School Teams Mascot. Jerry was instrumental in bringing forth the Mascot Issues and made a difference with regards to schools not using Native American Indian Names for their Team Name and Mascot. As a result Most Major League and High School Teams have Changed the names of their Teams and are not offensive to Native American Indians now. However, There are still some teams who refuse to change their Team Names Such as the Atlanta Braves, Arcadia High School who are still calling themselves The Apaches and still insist on allowing their cheerleaders to wear mini skirt style dress and they are not dressing them in traditional Apache Regalia which misrepresents the True Regalia of the Apache Women! Jerry was a member of the American Indian Movement! He will be Truly Missed by his Family and Friends! Oh Creator Watch over Our Jerry Keep Him and his Family in Your Loving Arms! as We will Keep Him in Our Prayers! Thank You Creator! Aho Mitakeasa Oysim! |
