Disguising rocks as gold by hiding them under a top layer of actual coins, dropping the bags, retreating, and watching as the enemy opens the bags and sees that underneath the top layer of gold coins there is nothing but rocks in the bags. Hours of arguing out the best way to trick the kidnappers go down the drain seconds later as the alarm is raised.
