Carl Jerry London a defendent in the "Black Tuna" drug smuggling trial who vanished from a Caribbean Island, has turned up in Colombia, an informant has told the U.S. Drug Enforcement administration(DEA) he is "alive and well" in a reputed Colombian drug trafficking center, federal attorney walter Schroeder said in Miami.

Carl Jerry London 37 years old, is one of 8 men charged with running a sophisticated smuggling operation that allegedly brought $300 million worth of mariuana into the United States.

London was free on bond when he was arrested in Aruba last month for flying an airplane without proper documentation, but was released unexpectedly December 3, 1979 from jail and disappeared before Fedral Authorities could return him to Miami.
