Reputed Mafia Chieftain John Gotti discussed killing a man for having missed an appointment
with him, according to transcripts of security tapes unsealed Friday by a Federal
Judge.
The tapes were recorded by FBI agents at Gottis Manhattan headquarters. According
to transcripts, Gotti talked with an associate about the killing of Louis DiBono
63, a member of Gottis organization who ran afoul of the boss in late 1989. "He didn't
rob nothing. Know why he's dying?"
Gotti asked. "He's gonna die because he refused to come when I called. He didn't do
nothing else wrong." DiBono was found shot in the head last October 1990.
