Welcome our Amanda Ruth to the world!

We got to the hospital around 1 am.  The contractions were regular, but the progress was slow. That is, until about 6:15. They told me then I was officially in labor. Well, the doctor got there just in time! He was still in the hallway in uniform when David told him I was ready to push. 5 contractions later, Amanda Ruth came into the world! The doctor had a scheduled C-Section that morning that had to be delayed. I guess Amanda thought she was more important!

On a Side note, when Amanda was 9 days old, we went to Cracker Barrel. Another couple with a 9 day old got seated at the table next to us. We got to talking to them and discovered that they were the scheduled C-Section that Amanda delayed! Welcome to the world, Baby Emma, and sorry about the delay!
