Special Light
By Breezy
One pumpkin in the patch,
as soon as i stepped from the car I saw you.
Your orange gleam stood out from the rest,
it was a wonder no one picked you.
I looked at you
not too big,
not too small,
perfect for me.
When I got closer you looked like an orange leaf,
burnt enough from the sun.
No bruises, not one, just like a new born baby.
So lonely you looked, I picked you up,
hugging you,
and went back to the car.
