Educational Philosophy[U1] :

Students are at school for the majority of their waking life. Because of this, I believe that the students’ intellect needs must be stimulated, while their emotional lives are nurtured. While I am not a counselor, I do know that what happens in the classroom affects their lives, and so I strive to create community in a classroom and work with a community of caring parents.

All students are capable of reading and writing, and must be encouraged to read and write on a daily basis in an atmosphere of trust and respect. I believe in infusing the classroom with caring and humor tempered by a respect for the subject and one another.

Behavioral Requirements:

·          When asked for attention, stop activity and listen.
