Part 5- Forward Motion in Dim Light

Duo looked between the two boys with mass confusion on his face. His violet eyes landed on the Arabian, questioning him. "What are you talking about? I know you want WuFei to be alive as much as I do, but you know he's dead."

"Who said I was dead?"

The longhaired boy swiftly turned to the onyx-eyed person in front of him. "Are you a zombie?"

"Moron."

The blond chuckled at WuFei's observation. Feeling quite confident he decided to ask him, "Where have you been. What happened to you?"

"Slow down. You're turning into the eternal braided baka over here. Let's go back to my apartment and I'll see if I can explain." Turning his back to his once teammates he walked off.

Quatre cheerfully went along and left Duo standing in the middle of the sidewalk with his jaw hanging open. The American shook himself out of his daze and followed. After walking about two and a half blocks the three of them reached an apartment complex.

They took the small elevator to the third floor, stepped out and entered the first apartment on the right. It was a very small and simple living space. From the entrance was the living room, equipped with a TV, sofa and recliner. To the left of the door was the kitchen, next to that was a tiny hallway that lead to the bathroom and bedroom.

Duo set the grocery bag on the floor then proceeded to plop himself onto the sofa with Quatre right behind him, except the Sandrock pilot had a more tactful and refine way of sitting, leaving WuFei to sit in the recliner.

"So," the Chinese boy spoke up, "what do you want to know?"

"Where have you been?" Quatre asked eagerly.

"Here. This," he pointed to his hair, "was Heero and Trowa's idea. Changing my appearance and my location, they thought it would fool OZ."

"What about your eyes? You didn't like take out yours and get new ones from the hospital, did you?" this came from the pilot of Deathscythe.

"No." he brought his hand up to his eye and took out a contact lens. "They're colored contacts. Again this has to do with my appearance." He put it back in.

"Okay, but I saw Heero kill you."

"No, you didn't. You saw me lying on the floor in blood. That was to give the illusion that I had been killed. You however weren't supposed to see that due to your sensitivity."

"Then where did the blood come from?"

"Random OZ idiot 321. The guard saw Heero talking to me and attacked. The gunshot you heard was Heero firing on him. We moved the body into the cell I had you captive in and I laid down in the pool of blood that was left behind."

"What happened when you were gone for those two months?"

"I didn't mean to be gone for that long. If your remember my mission was to get a drug that had been in development that made it so anyone who took it would become more aggressive and have no fear of dying or killing. It was called 'Serum P'. Anyway the first attempt was a failure due to all the mobile suits around. So I faked an order from Treize saying that he wanted all the Leo and Aires at his base for protection."

"And that worked?" Duo question with a hint of surprise in his voice.

"Yeah, it surprised me too. So the second time I managed to get in the base, but not very far. When I had the MS evacuate I didn't count on them having more soldiers wondering around. I decided to set some explosives in the empty hanger to create a small diversion. And before you ask Duo, yes that worked. I made my way to the lab and stated searching, luckily the search didn't take long seeing that they had the vile labeled 'Serum P'. I pocketed the vile and was ready to get the hell out when a black out hit. Instead of waiting for my eyes to adjust to the darkness I tried to walk out. I ended up walking into a table and knocking something over. And that's the last thing I remembered before returning to the safe house."

For once the braided American was speechless. He just stood and grabbed the bag of food. Finding his voice he spoke up, "It's good to see and know that you're alive, but we have to get back with this food before the perfect soldier has a fit."

WuFei glanced at the blond. He could sense that he wanted to ask more. "Duo, why don't you head back? I kind of want to speak with Quatre alone. I'll drive him back."

"You sure?" seeing the black-haired boy nod, he gave a lopsided grin and made his way out the door.

Seeing that his other friend was gone, he stood from his recliner and approached the kitchen. "Would you like some tea?"

"I'd love some." He followed his host over to the kitchen and sat on one of the stools near the counter. "Can I ask you something?"

WuFei removed his contacts and placed them in their case. "Of course, that's why you stayed. Was it not?"

"Why didn't Trowa or Heero say anything about you being alive?"

The Chinese boy placed the teakettle on the stove, then brought down to cups from the cupboard. Bring his right hand down he opened the drawer. "Because they felt that you two would blow my cover."

"Speaking of cover, do you have a new name?"

"Yes. J. Raziel."

"Isn't that close to Duo's 'Jade Raziel'?"

"That alias was mine. Seeing that the braided idiot used it, Trowa suggested that I just bring it down to the 'J'." he suddenly brought his right hand to his head and grunted in pain.

"Are you all right?" the aqua-eyed boy asked in concern.

"Yeah.. . Quatre, were you afraid when I held that sword up to you?" he placed his hand in the drawer.

"Well, yes. I was terrified to be honest."

"And how do you feel now?"

"Why?"

WuFei faced his companion with a butcher knife in his right hand. Quatre slow got off the stool and backed up, looking the other boy over. "Your eyes.. ."

"Farewell, Quatre Winner." He ran over to the blond and slashed knife sideways, slashing right across the Arabian's eyes. Causing him to scream in pain. And for the final blow he swiftly moved the blade forward, thrusting through the Sandrock pilot's heart.

He pulled the knife out and watched the body fall limp.

*Snap*

WuFei's eyes returned to normal as he gazed down at the unmoving body. His onyx eyes quivered and his entire body shuttered. He let go of the bloody knife, letting it clang against the hard wood floor then fell to his knees gripping the sides of his head. "What happened? Why can't I remember?"

"Don't worry WuFei." Came a female voice from behind him. She gently placed her hands on his shoulder. Her silver hair falling onto her left hand. Her golden eyes lit up with joy as she gazed upon the corpse. "You just did what I expected of you.. ."

To be continued.. .

~ Note: I really do apologize to all the Quatre fans, but this wasn't the original idea. Part five was supposed to be the explanation piece and the end, but I have had a really bad month and I needed to do something constructive. Meaning my homework. *Points to the fic* I have a feeling that some readers will not like this, but please don't flame me.
